SilkWayGo
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This Policy explains what data SilkWayGo processes when you use its website, Android application and future iOS application, why it is needed, and the choices available to users.
1. Scope
This Policy covers tour browsing, customer accounts, favourites, bookings, reviews, communications and interactions with travel companies through SilkWayGo.
2. Data you provide
We may process your name, email address, telephone number, account and profile information. Booking records include the selected tour and date, number of travellers, contact details, comments, language and booking status.
Reviews include a rating, title, comment and customer name. Partners also provide company details and private verification documents, which are not exposed through the public API.
3. Authentication and security
Customer website authentication uses a server-side session and protected cookies. The mobile app uses a time-limited authentication token stored in secure device storage and revocable on logout.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
4. Bookings and travel companies
Booking data is used to create and manage a request, identify it, contact the customer and communicate status. Information necessary to fulfil a booking may be shared with the relevant tour operator or service provider.
5. Payments
No real payment provider is currently enabled and SilkWayGo does not claim to collect payment-card numbers. When payments become available, payment information may be processed by an authorised payment service provider under its own privacy and security terms.
6. Technical data, cookies and mobile devices
For operation, security and abuse prevention, servers may process IP addresses, timestamps, session identifiers, request metadata and technical logs. A mobile token name may contain the device name or model.
Website cookies support sessions and request-forgery protection. The mobile app requires internet access and does not request precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or file permissions.
7. Advertising and analytics
After your consent, the website uses Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica for traffic statistics, understanding page usage and improving the service. Analytics tools are not loaded without consent. You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. The mobile app does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
8. Purposes and legal grounds
We use data to provide the service, manage accounts and bookings, support customers, prevent abuse, send service notifications, meet applicable requirements and improve reliability. Depending on context, processing relies on the requested service, legitimate security and service interests, consent or applicable legal obligations.
9. Sharing
We do not state that personal data is sold. Necessary data may be shared with the relevant travel operator, infrastructure and email-delivery providers, professional advisers or authorities where required by law.
10. Retention and international processing
Data is retained only as needed for the service, security and applicable legal obligations. Account and booking records may be retained where required for disputes, reporting or compliance.
Because SilkWayGo supports international travel and uses infrastructure providers, data may be processed in other countries subject to reasonable safeguards.
11. Your rights and deletion
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Some records may be retained where legally required or necessary to protect rights.
There is currently no self-service account deletion function in the app or API. Send a deletion request from the email associated with your account to info@silkwaygo.com so the request can be verified safely.
12. Google authentication
If you register or sign in with Google, SilkWayGo receives only the information needed for that flow, such as the provider identifier, verified email address and available basic profile information. SilkWayGo does not receive your Google password, and the current implementation does not persist Google OAuth access- or refresh-tokens.
13. GDPR — rights of users in the EEA
If the GDPR applies to the processing of your personal data, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability where applicable, withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based, and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Legal exceptions may apply.
To exercise a right, email info@silkwaygo.com. Processing necessary for an account, booking or requested service may rely on performance of a contract or service; security and service development on legitimate interests; optional analytics on consent; and certain records on applicable legal obligations.
14. California Privacy Rights — CCPA/CPRA
If and to the extent the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, applies to SilkWayGo and your personal information, you may have rights to know and access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.
SilkWayGo does not exchange personal information for monetary consideration. Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica operate only after consent; an applicable opt-out request may be sent to info@silkwaygo.com. We may require reasonable identity verification before fulfilling a request.
15. Exercising your privacy rights
Email info@silkwaygo.com with enough information to identify your account and request. We may request reasonable verification. Never include a password, TOTP code or recovery code: SilkWayGo will never ask for these by email as part of a privacy request.
12. Children
SilkWayGo is a travel marketplace and is not intentionally directed at children below the age at which they may independently consent under applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child supplied data without proper authorisation.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy when services or requirements change. The current version and revision date will remain available here.
